I guess I'm just not into fridges, really. You'd think I'd be pretty excited about this new one. For one thing, it's a lot roomier than the last one; we jumped from like 18 cubit feet of space to 26. And after putting up some serious cash to buy it, and then having to play hard ball with Sears after they brought a broken and damaged model, not to mention the work it took to run a water line for the fancy ice and water dispenser....well, I just expected to be more excited.
Oh, it's cool and all. And it's working just fine now. I'm grateful to have it. But I realize that I was pretty much content with that older, smaller model we had before. And filling up the ice cube trays really was no big deal. So I wonder, why is it that the excitement of anticipating a new toy is so often more satisfying than the actual experience of the new toy?
To be fair, Nancy is definitely excited about the new fridge. And that counts for a lot.
I love the new fridge! I wonder why the word "refrigerator" doesn't have a "d" in it.
